The WW Story & Retro Vault

IT BEGINS 2014

Born in Gyms, Barbershops & Event Spaces

It all started with the soap. That spawned a character. Which became an alter-ego.

Built by an artist who’d spent years designing band tees and posters, studying digital art and grinding through a decade in London agencies before dropping out to make something of his own.

Somewhere along the way, a character emerged, The Lycan, Roderick Howell. A werewolf alter-ego: raw, a little unhinged and always moving forward, that became the spirit of the brand.

From those early days, WhiskyWolf grew out of the same environments it still belongs, the hard sports. Making products for friends in Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Roller Derby, Skating and Surfing. Surviving a culture of hobbies that want to hurt you for 25 years and now a first-degree Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, still training, still in it.

What started with soap turned into everything else. Driven by the same DIY ethos, creating beer, streetwear, accessories, training gear and full team kits for athletes and national squads.

Along the way, collaborations have shaped the brand with names like Scramble, Dojo Outfitters, Denver Roller Derby, Enyo, Inner Chimp, Chinkilla and TSG.

Despite the years, nothing’s changed at the core. It’s still a solo operation. Every design, every product, from idea to packed up and posted.
